CONTURA®(ceramic mould casting)
Rather than sand, the CONTURA® process makes use of ceramics as a moulding material. Work pieces produced through this process are characterized by the remarkably high quality of their surfaces, which has a positive effect on their resistance to corrosion.
This fine-grained moulding material produces exceptionally refined outlines in units with a maximum size of two meters and a maximum weight of around 1,000 kilograms.
Furthermore CONTURA® can be combined with sand moulding. In that case, the core is produced using the CONTURA® process, while the box is formed in sand. This allows for raising the surface quality of precisely defined individual areas on the cast part.
