Investment Casting
Investment casting are actually the results of waste-wax casting. The wax material can be injected into metallic tools and it can be produced via the Rapid Prototyping process. Continuous operation robot-aided and climatically controlled significantly reduces the time it takes to produce the shell moulds, which translates into a strong increase in capacities.
This process combines remarkable dimensional accuracy with wide latitude in design and relatively smooth surfaces.
The largest investment cast part to date had a liquid weight of approx. 120 kilograms. This production method renders possible production in any number – from individual units right up to serial production.
