Welding

Steel cast parts fall into two categories of application:

• Construction Welding

Construction welding is necessary whenever existing casting technology prevents a component from being cast as a single unit, requiring it to be welded together instead. Joining together components made of different materials requires construction welding as well.

• Production Welding

Production welding comes to use whenever a production process leaves a cast part with areas of repair that need to be corrected by welding. Dimensional welding and refurbishing to improve wear resistance also fall into the category of production welding.
